Mark yer calendars for Summer Swelter on July 13! It’s our annual street party filled with sudsy craft beer and delectable treats from the Horse Thief kitchen. This year, we’re having a Hawaiian pig roast and a cornhole tournament. And special treat for you blues fans: we’ll have Larry McCray perform live on our outdoor stage!
As always, the event will raise money for charity, and this year’s recipient is Gigi’s Playhouse.
There’s no cover to attend. But if you want to compete in the tournament, registration is $50 for a team of two adults. Visit the parking lot at 10426 S. Western Ave. starting at noon to watch teams compete in the cornhole tournament, with a prize of $500 going to the winning team. Get your tickets today!
Horse Thief Hollow craft brews will be flowing all day, including the debut of a tart beer from new head brewer Jake Nelson: a tropical flavored gose. The Hawaiian themed menu will feature a pineapple BBQ pig roast with Hawaiian potato salad and vegetarian poke bowls, available at 6:00 pm. Food and drink tickets will be $5, with one ticket for a beer and two tickets for a food entree.
