Giddy up, Horse Thief fans. It’s time to get artsy! This Saturday, September 26, from 11 am to 5 pm, the 13th Annual Beverly Art Walk takes over the neighborhood, & it’s gonna be a big day of art, music, & good cheer. Presented by the Beverly Area Arts Alliance, this free, family-friendly celebration fills Beverly & Morgan Park with 150+ artists at more than 40 venues. You’ll find home studios, pop-up galleries, & local businesses, with live music just about everywhere you turn. We’re proud to be one of those stops, & we’ve got plenty in store.
See horses come alive on canvas
Our live art activation is a fitting one for a place called Horse Thief Hollow. Artist & longtime arts educator Salima Cobb-Collins, founder of Beverly’s Ancestry Moon Art Studio, will use charcoal & acrylic paints to create colorful horse portraits alongside fellow artist Regina Milliner-Lee. Stop by to watch the pieces come to life, chat with the artists, & see how a blank canvas becomes a stable full of color over the course of the day.

Since we opened our doors in 2013, the same year the Art Walk got its start, the brick walls of Horse Thief Hollow have doubled as a gallery for local artists through our Art on Tap program. We’ve loved that partnership with the Beverly Area Arts Alliance & believe a neighborhood business can be a great home for art! Over the years we’ve been glad to see so many of our neighbors along Western Avenue & beyond open their doors to artists as well. The Art Walk is the best proof of what happens when local businesses & local artists team up, & we’re proud to keep that commitment going.
