Shine a Light on Domestic Violence this Holiday Season

November 10, 2017

The numbers are staggering. Every year, more than 10 million men and women are abused by a partner—nearly 20 people every minute. Chicago alone gets nearly 500 calls a day reporting domestic violence. HTH is partnering with Family Rescue this holiday season in their work to break that cycle of violence for families in Chicago. Won’t you join us? We are hosting a Donation Drive for Family Rescue now through Dec. 21! Our favorite honky tonk band, Stone Lonesome, is supporting Family Rescue with a concert at Horse Thief on Black Wednesday, Nov. 22. You can help by donating toiletries and clothing from Family Rescue’s Wishlist below, or making a financial donation to this worthy organization.

Black Wednesday with Stoned Lonesome

Our donation drive kicks off on Black Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 8:00 pm, with a performance by the awesome honky tonk band Stoned Lonesome!  All HTH fans are encouraged to bring an item from the Family Rescue Wishlist to the performance.

From Nov. 22 to Dec. 21, friends can drop off donations at HTH, and we’ll deliver everything to Family Rescue in time for Christmas.

Family Rescue is a local organization that supports victims of domestic violence. They are always in need of basic items, including toiletries, diapers, and underwear. Any contributions you can make from the list below will be truly appreciated!
